Make Room for Peace

The method

We finish what the house has been holding.

Make Room for Peace is decision coaching, not a haul-away service. Sessions are private, paced to the woman in the chair, and built around one truth: clutter is postponed choosing. When the choosing is complete, space appears — and so does the readiness to help aging parents with theirs.

What a body of work looks like

Your house

Home and garage first

We work category by category — clothing that no longer fits the life you are living, papers that have become a second job, furniture that belongs to a former chapter, the garage that swallowed weekends. Each session ends with decisions that have actually been made, not a longer to-do list.

Their house

Then you are ready for theirs

Adult daughters are often asked to walk into a parent’s cluttered home with no practice and no language. By finishing your own rooms first, you arrive with a method, a calmer nervous system, and the authority of someone who has already done the hard choosing.

Inside a session

We begin with what is heaviest, not what is tidiest. You name a category. I ask the questions that have been skipped — Who is this for? What would it cost to keep? What would it cost your children later? We stay until a decision is complete enough to act on.

  1. Listen

You describe the room, the garage, the inherited boxes, and the story you have been telling yourself about why they are still there.

  2. Decide

Together we finish the choice: keep with a place and a reason, give to someone named, sell, or let go. No “maybe later” piles.

  3. Act

You leave with a short, specific next move — a donation run, a conversation, a listing, a release — so the house actually changes between sessions.

Begin with one stalled decision.
